One red cross indicating KMPProcess.exe stopped working which is before uninstalling the player.
Only one problem I am currently facing is that I can't download. The browsing speed is normal but chrome can't download anything. Tried PopcornTime-latest.exe, hdsentinel_trial_setup.zip, freemakevideoconverterfull.exe, wsusoffline108.zip to download a couple of times. I currently have no download manager. Chrome default was used.
I had to download hdsentinel with my mobile to run it in my pc.
Even the windows update is taking a lot of time to download a 63 MB file. It was better yesterday. I have disabled the reserved 20% to get better download speed. But, no result.
Boggin:
Can you try downloads with IE to see if it's Chrome or something else.
If it's the same with all browsers then try the downloads in Safe Mode with Networking should it be something on your computer.
If downloads are fine in that mode then you will have to perform a clean boot to see which Startup or non-MS service is the cause.
Without going back through your thread, which antivirus program are you using ?
I don't use Chrome or a download manager - I find IE11 does the job just fine.
mahedi:
I am getting better result with IE. Chrome used to stop downloading and then failing.
IE doesn't stop. It gets around 10-15 KB/s
However, I tried various speed testing sites and got very bad result. Even the speed testing sites take a long time to load/prepare compared to other site.
I should mention that yesterday my windows update & mse was taking too much time to complete searching for downloads let alone downloading them. Then I went to http://wu.krelay.de/en/
and downloaded Windows6.1-KB3177467-x64 & Windows6.1-KB3172605-x64 .
After installing these 2, windows & mse were showing good result to find updates and downloading. I think about 500MB was downloaded and installed yesterday.
Today getting fed up by seeing the download speed I tried to see the the speed when downloading windows update. It was taking too much time to download two files. These 2 files were found yesterday. I didn't download them.
These 2 files were found by windows update yesterday but I didn't download them then.
So, I used tweaking.com windows repair. I thought my windows needed some fix as not only chrome but also windows updater and mse couldn't download(or search) anything.
Today after running tweaking.com windows repair, my windows update history was showing nothing. Like I haven't had any update yesterday. I tried to search for available update and it was taking too much time. The mse(I am currently using this) which was updated yesterday, couldn't finish searching for updates when I tried like yesterday.
So, I tried http://www.askvg.com/fix-windows-7-keeps-checking-for-updates-for-hours/ and download the 7 files(the last one was already downloaded yesterday)
Then I installed them. 2 or 3 files INCLUDING THE LAST ONEsaid they are not for my computer or something like that. 1 or 2 said already installed.
mahedi:
(Ignore the last line of previous message. alt+s was pressed by mistake)
Then I installed them. 2 or 3 files INCLUDING KB3172605 that I installed yesterday said they are not for my computer or something like that!!!!!
1 or 2 said they are already installed.
What should I do?

I'm just in the process of updating my Win 7 laptop - haven't had it on for a few days, and they have downloaded and installing fine - so far.
I have a 37.5MB wired speed.
The Rollup this month is 68MB and in total for me is 245MB of updates.
500MB is going to take some time to download and install, depending upon your speed.
When you run the WR program for updates, it removes the contents of the SoftwareDistribution folder which clears the Update history and is nothing to worry about as it doesn't affect the installed updates.
That folder will repopulate as you install more updates.
Sometimes MS chucks out "blanket" updates where some may not apply to some computers, so I wouldn't worry about that.
Other than that, I'm not sure what problems you are now having.
In future if you have problems with Windows Updates, give WSUS Offline Updater a go.

When you say Chrome was failing in downloading, what were you downloading ?
I don't have any experience of Chrome, but I believe Chrome troubleshooters can be found via Google - but when a browser plays up then resetting it is usually a first step.
I've used Anvi Browser Repair Tool in the past which solved an IE problem for me, but quite often it is down to add-ons.
