[SOLVED]Windows Repair Pro 3.9.26

(1/3) > >>

Xas1953NC:
Hello, I installed WRPro 3.9.26 on my W8.1 converted to W10 laptop and it runs fine. I then attempted to install it on my wife's W7 converted to W10 desktop and it failed with a decompression error as seen in the enclosed screen grab. I was going to install it on my W10 desktop but refrained in case it failed on that. I cannot even re-install the previous WRPro 3.9.25 onto her computer as now a decompression occurs with that too.
Can anyone shed light on what has happened. Thanks.

Boggin:
Can you try the install in Safe Mode with Networking should it be caused by your antivirus program.

Xas1953NC:
Hello Boggin, I have the same av program on all computers so wonder that as the laptop install of WRPro was ok why should it glitch on my wife's desktop?

Boggin:
I have Norton Security on three laptops but on only one did it kick out the WR .exe citing it had found a Trojan.

It can be the same when I'm downloading a legit program - it will block it on one machine but not on the others.

If it installs okay in Safe Mode with Networking then it will most likely be because of your AV program.

You may be able to whitelist it but I uninstall and reinstall Norton when that happens.

Xas1953NC:
OK Boggin, thanks. All previous versions of WRPro installed OK yet now v3.9.25 glitches on my wife's computer.  Has Shane compiled the latest version with elements that could possibly cause a reaction due to a particular computer's architecture? Does the problem as screen grabbed show that there are elements that fail to get unzipped during installation.
