Registry Compressor Event Log Error 1000
streetwolf:
After restarting Windows 10 Pro x86-64 I always see this in my event log. I don't get any error message other than this one. Is there a fix for this?

Is this program in your Start-up menu in Task Manager ?
Uninstall/reinstall Registry Compressor to see if you still get the error - or just uninstall it.
I used to use Winmend Registry Defrag in Win 10 but it took over as the default defrag program and I was unable to select Defrag and Optimization, so out that went.
As your error has an Access Denied 05 code then there may be some sort of conflict.

It's not on any run list. I run it on demand. I didn't install it. I guess I used a portable version.
I was indeed using the portable version. I installed the install version and still get the same error.

If you are getting the error time stamped for when you boot up then there must be something installed.
Can you see anything in Task Scheduler ?
I wouldn't bother with the program as you don't really need it.

I do have your Tweaking.com - Registry Backup in Scheduled Tasks. Could there be a conflict between the two? The backup program isn't taking any backups during the times I run the Compressor. I only take one backup a day when I first power up my machine.
