Trying to update my window 7 ultimate x64 issue

(1/2) > >>

MikeNg:
Hello Everyone,

I have to searching and finding a solution for my problem for quite a while now.

Hopefully someone can help

I cannot use windows update, it keeps telling me "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer."

I also noticed on my service.msc that Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) and Windows Update Service is missing.

When I try to update my Windows Defender as well, I get the error code 0x8007024.

The scan on Windows Defender says error code 0x8050800c when trying to fix.

I have also seen error showing 0x8007005 as well when trying to use Microsoft Applications to fix the issue.

I also tried using the "Tweaking.com - Windows Repair (All in One)", but it didn't fix my window updating issue.

Please help and thanks.

If Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is missing then a virus most likliy deleted it. SO make sure to scan your system with malwarebytes.

Also in my new version of my Windows Repair tool v1.9.0 I added the bits service to the repair Windows updates. So run that repair and it should get it working again

Hi,
Thanks for the replies!
Question Shane about the Windows Repair tool v1.9.0.
Do you have the link for it because I cannot seem to located it or is it that you're talking about the windows repair all-in-one tool v1.9?
And which one would I select to fix BITS?
I would like to thank you guys for help on this one, it is so frustrating.

Shane:
http://www.tweaking.com/content/page/windows_repair_all_in_one.html

And you run the Repair Windows Updates.
