Cannot Upgrade Windows 10 1607 to 1703

I have seen where changing the method to connect to the Internet has resolved update problems such as changing from wired to wireless or vice versa, but if you were originally using wireless then your Ethernet wouldn't have been active - or were you using a wired connection ?

How did you remove your Ethernet connection and can you reinstate it ?

Mannie:
It was a desktop with no wireless. I simply disconnected the Ethernet cable from the PC.

Mannie:
I reconnected the Ethernet cable after the upgrade & all was fine.

Boggin:
It seems strange that should have been the cause but perhaps ties in with swapping to wireless as in other cases I've seen.
