Kaspersky Says bat file is Trojan?
(1/1)
pjamme:
Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
When I click on the button to reboot into Safe Mode in the Free version of Tweaking.com, Kaspersky Total Security gives me a warning that a bat file in Windows\Temp is a Trojan.
Does Tweaking.com create a bat file here?
And it does not go into Safe Mode either. I tried rebooting holding down the shift key and it doesn't go into Safe Mode that way either. I even tried the old way by tapping the F8 key when rebooting, no Safe Mode.
I ran Tweaking in regular mode and it hung on step 8 for Sahdowcopy for three hours before I stopped it.

I've had my Norton Security kick out the repair program's .exe before now and had to add www.tweaking.com to the exclusion list.
There is a file in Temp which I think relates to the system tray icon but it is a false positive for Kaspersky to snag it.
You can add www.tweaking.com to Kaspersky's list by following the steps in this article.
https://support.kaspersky.co.uk/11444
See if you can then boot into the advanced boot options either through the program or by pressing and holding Shift throughout a restart.

I remember my Kaspersky reported a similar file when booting to safe mode
You can submit the file as a false positive here:

Thanks for the link.

Yes thanks for the link.
Unfortunately I deleted the file, so cannot submit. Although Kaspersky still shows it as a warning.
Going to run Tweaking again to see if it re-appears.
