SOLVED Can´t update to W 10, 1709
steffen:
Yes, I did all the commands, I had to rename SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistibution.old manually
Defender was turned off
AMD Radion (TM) R5 Graphics
Boggin:
Did you get an error in the run of cmds for the SoftwareDistribution folder ?
I don't think you'd have any problems with an AMD driver, but you could create a restore point and then run AMD's autodetect to see if it finds an updated driver.

I'm still waiting for a reply back from my Support.

Did you get an error in the run of cmds for the SoftwareDistribution folder ? : Yes, I was told that there was no permission to acces that folder
Got a new AMD driver, but it did´nt help.
When looking for update, I am now told that the system is fully updated, though I am still running 1607.
When I originally tried to update to 1607, I had the same problem. I then had to make a clean install to get it. So I lost my folders and apps.
I appreciate all the time and effort you have put into this project
Boggin:
That info about how you updated to 1607 would have been useful earlier.
You should back up all of your personal folders before a clean install.
Had you actually bought any apps from the Store prior to that clean install ?
If you had, then perhaps contacting MS Support and explaining the situation, they may have reinstated them for you.
I was considering a clean install of 1709 as a last resort but that could lead to further problems if there are compatibility issues which could be the cause of the failures.
If you can create a full system image onto external media of your 1607 then you could try the 1709 clean install.
To restore from an image created onto an external HDD you would need a system repair disk to boot up with as it cannot be done from within Windows.
steffen:
I have all my data on partition D, so I only loose all apps
I have Image backup, so I can quickly re-install 1607 as it is now.
A clean install wil work, I am sure. But that means, I will have to reinstall all apps. Apps from windows store are reinstalled for free, as they can see, I have paid for them.
BUT that means, I will have to make clean install of all future upgrades.
