Recovery file (a unique question)

(1/2) > >>

Angelika:
How to restore only one file (without knowing the file name that the file was actually deleted) without having to scan the whole disk with lots of files.
I do not want to restore a million files, only one.
When I scanned the entire disk - it shows a lot of files, and I still do not know which one - the *.zip file has been removed.
It is idiotic to scan a 24 hour drive to restore only one small file.
How do I find out which one file has been deleted?

Boggin:
If it's a system file then try your restore points but I believe Recuva may be able to help, but it would be up to you to determine which file it is.

Angelika:
For example, how to quickly recover a file lost on a specific date or time interval without having to scan everything. Say what is the sense of looking for one file throughout the day. The scanning takes 20 hours.

for example, delete the file I know, now 16-04-2018 shift + DEL and in order to recover the file, I need to scan the big hard disk for 20 hours. He apologizes, but it's a stupid solution.

Recovering that file from backup can be a support pain, even if the user knows the exact name and location of the file, and precisely when it was deleted.

--- Code: ---“Help! I just deleted a file from the network drive!” That's a support call any IT professional knows all too well. Recovering that file from backup can be a support pain, even if the user knows the exact name and location of the file, and precisely when it was deleted. Without that information, it can be a nightmare.
--- End code ---

Boggin:
Are you saying Recuva is a stupid solution - and just who is apologising ?

Angelika:
RECUVA TEST

For the tests of this tool I specifically removed the SHIFT + DEL file
I scan one partition in search of one file (it is unknown if even this file will be found).
In addition, he finds old files. How to disable scanning of old files that I do not need anymore. Only the latest (y)
But to find only one file the process is too time-consuming compared to other tools that are unfortunately payable.
