[SOLVED]Windows Disk Management hangs/freeze. Not working.
Boggin:
Was that error message from when you tried to run the Windows Repair program ?
Go Start - type services.msc and scroll down to the Virtual Disk service to see what its status is.
It should be showing as Manual.
Right click on it and select Properties then under the Log On tab, ensure the button for Local System account is checked.
If it's status is showing as Started then click on it and select Stop from the left pane - you can also select Disabled from the dropdown in Properties - Apply - OK then reboot.
If it's showing as Auto then you will need to use the dropdown to change that to Manual - Stop - Apply - OK then reboot to effect and try the Windows Repair program again.
Angelika:
Why carry out aimless repair of the system and waste time, if it does not solve the problem 100%? I am about to repair the system and expect to repair Disk Mangent.
I'm not an expert but I know 100% that it will not solve the problem because I tested it on another clean computer and the error is in the service. You just need to fix the service or work around the bug by trying to stop the service every time, so it's a stupid workaround, even though it works fine.
If it's funny, if the application, the program does not work, you need to repair the system. Where do people have such stupid ideas for solutions.
Boggin:
If it works and you are able to run Windows Repair and that fixes your problem - then it isn't a stupid workaround.
You need to respond to the error messages.
I would have suggested a repair install but you need a Win 7 install disk that includes SP1 to do that, which you may not have had.
I suggest you read my reply to your AdwCleaner thread and take heed about your attitude.
Angelika:
Why repair the system if it works perfectly? I do not have any problems with the system, everything works stably and high performance!
I have a problem only with the VIrtual Disk, there is a heap corruption.
if you want to help me, write a solution to the problem with the 1067 error.
On the Internet I can not find a similar error regarding Virtual Drive only Fax.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\vds
Angelika:
Boggin - I've done "System Repair" now I have a bigger problem:
ERROR:

The Disk Management snap-in can not start the Virtual Disk Services (VDS) on the COMPUTER computer. This can happen if the remote computer does not support Virtual Disk Services.
