Stuck on Repair MDAC/MS Jet for 8 hours

Office will not save a file, it just closes. I have uninstalled and the repair still hung.

Way too much time to spend in an old copy of office like this!

I just wanted to fix it.

For now libreoffice works.

Have you removed all aspects of Office as you sometimes get Word Viewers with them.

As far as I know yes I removed the whole officesuite and there were no viewers. I'll give it one more shot today why not.

If it still hangs on that repair, I'll pass on your thread as someone else experiencing the hang, although I haven't been notified of a solution yet though.

still hangs on MDAC/MS Jet after in-place repair install and removing office completely.
