WR 4.023 The "Safe mode" repair does not work

<< < (2/3) > >>

jpm:
if you boot into windows and run 'msconfig' there is an option to select "safe boot". Click that and reboot and you should come into safe mode.

The tweaking program also has an option to force safe mode.

Angelika:
Of course, the safe mode has not been activated for a long time, read files and stops. I am waiting and nothing is happening.

Boggin:
Which version of Windows are you using and is your computer an OEM branded model or purpose built ?

Angelika:
I do not know, this is a foldable PC with components by itself.
I need safe mode if the computer does not start correctly in normal mode for future.
The now normal mode works and the safe is not running, stuck in place and there is no reaction. Why does not it show any additional information that the system can not continue running in safe mode?

Boggin:
From your thread I assume you are using a branded Win 7 laptop.

I suggest that you back up your personal stuff onto DVDs or a HDD and factory reset the laptop.

As you are unable to boot into the advanced boot options, that you create a System Repair disk and boot up with that.

Press any key when prompted to boot from CD/DVD where you will be presented with an inverse window with Windows Setup [EMS Enabled] highlighted - just press enter.

When the files have loaded, change/confirm the keyboard input method using the dropdown and navigate to the Recovery Environment (RE) where you will see an option for HDD Recovery.

Selecting this will factory reset the machine to out of the box.

This should resolve the safe mode problem.
