repair wmi tool

(1/3) > >>

shagger1:
Hi
just saw that tool as a seperate download-what are the symptoms
of a corrupt WMI?
Rod

Shane:
WMI is used by a lot of programs, including my own, to pull system information easily.

You normally wont notice if it isnt working unless a program complains about it or isnt able to pull information from the system

Shane

shagger1:
is that part of computer managment in xp,start, all programs, administrative tools?
Cause when I open that and click on some stuff I usually get an explorer error saying
it has to close?
Rod

Shane:
Dont know on that one, but my system information tool uses WMI to pull all the info.

So if you use that tool and it doesnt pull much information then you know something is wrong with WMI

shagger1:
ok
but how would I test if wmi is ok on xp without using your tool?
I can type in wmimgmt.msc in the run box and that works fine,
does that mean wmi is ok?
