If you had been a prolific spammer then I would have banned you out of hand and removed your thread.

I wasn't looking for an antivirus program but a dedicated scanner for your Mac, although as your HP laptop had picked up a Trojan, then perhaps a change of AV program would be prudent.

Did you run Malwarebytes and did it find anything.

I'm not sure which program you are referring to on Tweaking.com.

Mamie J. Hayes:
oh, I got u. I didn't know that it's your job, sorry! According to your advice, yesterday I changed my AV program, thanks a lot, see the sense!

Boggin:
That's okay :) - and glad to see that you have changed your AV program.

I changed to the paid for Kaspersky Total Security after becoming disillusioned with Norton Security Deluxe.

Did you run a scan on your Mac and did it find anything if so ?

Mamie J. Hayes:
Yeah I did it and found two viruses, happily it wasn't so serious. Now it works well, not as well as it was before, but much better than without running a scan

Boggin:
I had to look this up but you can do a system and file check on your Mac should the infections have damaged your files -
