big problem with Windows Repair 2019
PERRIN:
Hello,
I have a big problem with Windows Repair 2019.
Its fail at step 16 :
"The current repair has failed to start for over 30 sec.
Trying Again....
Running Repair Under System Account
Setting Windows Updates Files That Are In Use To Be Removed At Next Boot.
Done (15/06/2020 16:35:40)
Done, but failed, at (15/06/2020 16:39:23)
Total Repair Time: 01:12:08
The current repair has failed to start 4 times.
Something is keeping the repair from running.
Try running the repairs in Windows Safe Mode. (This will keep 3rd party programs from getting in the way of the repairs)
If the repairs still fail then please post in the Tweaking.com forums for support."
What should I do ?
To restart my PC or to wait ?
Thank you for helping me
Best regards
Boggin:
Which version of Windows are you using and have you done the pre-steps of a chkdsk /r and sfc /scannow prior to running the repair program ?
What is the reason why you needed to run the repair program ?
PERRIN:
Thank you for your quick reply, Tom.
My Windows version is 8.1
My PC is ASUS, 6Go RAM, 64 bits
My problems are :
_ Wild cuts of connection with message "DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION" : my big problem
_ Power Point has detected that your graphics card cannot be configured correctly, however the Disable hardware graphics acceleration check box is not selected.
_ my camera is not recognized by skype
Can you help me ?
I wish you a good day
Boggin:
Are you doing anything in particular when you get the Power Point error message ?
Boggin:
A Google for that Power Point error brought up this article which suggests disabling graphics acceleration - https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/383d5fa2-5c6c-400c-82a3-dfb1893319f1/how-to-disable-hardware-acceleration-for-all-users-in-powerpoint-2010-in-vdi-environment?forum=officesetupdeployprevious
However, this uses gpedit.msc and not all versions of Windows have this default enabled, but you can add it to your system through -
