Exit message in Gmail

Well...here's something interesting:

I am continuing to use Edge as my default browser; however, I set up a shortcut to make my Gmail open in Chrome rather than in Edge (use this as the target for the email file in the shortcut: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" "https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox" in the shortcut ).

Soooo...I have been using that "special" shortcut for several days now and that exit message has stopped (keeping my fingers crossed...).

What seems to be an anomaly is that both Edge and Chrome use the same basic engine.

Well, as long as it keeps doing what I want it to do, a special shortcut (which takes only seconds to set up) is the way I will go.

Thanks for following this, Tom.

I think I'll stick to using IE :)

I've never liked Edge and never had the inclination to use Chrome.

I completely understand.

I am still using a few programs that I have had for over ten years (remember "Keytweaker," "Belarc Advisor," and CutePDF"??).

To each his own.

Stay healthy!

Boggin:
I used to have Belarc Advisor installed but haven't heard of those other two.

ejk8626:
Keytweaker is a small machine language memory-resident program that is used to remap keyboard keys. I use is to remap the Caps Lock key to "Disable", but I could use it to make the Caps Lock act as a hotkey if I had a pressing need to do so. Now that MS has come up with Power Toys and one of the Toys is a key mapper, I can probably get rid of Keytweaker since it is an old, old program - I have been using it for almost 20 years.

CutePDF is an inexpensive program for manipulating PDF files (combining, editing, etc.) Again,. now that Word allows you to save as PDF or to open PDFs for editing, I could probably get rid of it, but again, I have been using it for over 10 years and I am used to it - besides, it does a lot more, since one of the functions is a form-filler, so i can fill out PDF online forms with it.

I use Belarc occasionally, just to make sure that there are no hidden "elves" that I need to handle.
