Thanks for the tip Tom. Works great! :)

Best, Andrew

Boggin:
Glad that works out for you.

Just a word of warning when using the Windows Repair program which I forgot to mention.

It has two bugs in it which I've brought to Shane's attention and waiting for him to fix, although he's unable to replicate the latter one so he's not sure what he can do about that one.

The first one is should you try to restore using the auto registry backup, when you hit the Restore now button it produces an error, so you may not get a full restore.

The second is that if you use the program's option to create a restore point, while it will report that it has successfully create one, it doesn't actually physically create the restore point so it's advisable to manually create your own prior to running the repairs.

Thanks so much for the heads up about these two bugs Boggin. I'd created backups with both of those functions so will now create a restore point and full registry export manually just in case until a future update advises those bugs have been squashed.

Once again, thank you for all of your help and pointers on how to get my copy registered and where to download the version I needed for Windows 10 support.

Much appreciated!

Regards, Andrew

Boggin:
You're welcome. :)

On the odd occasion when I need to use a restore point, I've found it works better in Safe Mode, although the restore option is available in the advanced boot options.

Prior to test running new versions of the repair program, I would create a system image onto an external HDD just to be sure.
