Registry backup problem

Willy2:
- I installed RB v4.00. But it causes CPU to go through the roof even when I try to open the program with a shortcut. I am not trying to run the program (yet) but simply opening the program already pushes CPU into the stratosphere on my Windows 7 system.
- On top of that the program regularly crashes when I want to make a backup manually.

I'm unable to check it out on my Win 7 machine just yet but why don't you just use the Backup Tools in WR ?

- Quite simple. WR has the same version of RB.

Boggin:
And does it do the same when you use it in WR ?

Willy2:
- I would like to point out that Shane has some high performance computer gear. E.g. he has a high performance GPU. But I have a simple "run of the mill" laptop with a "run of the mill" Intel graphics chip(-set). So, the performance/behaviour of RB & WR on Shane's computer is not representitive for all computer users.

- I know that in the past this issue has plagued RB as well. It could be a problem in the recent versions of RB as well. But I can't look inside the program code of RB.
