Hi all..

Occasionally i download one of ms store apps,to use on my system,..not had many issues with it,though i
know it can be glitchy..
Just tried to download a small app for the taskbar, and received following error..

Page cannot be loaded, please try again later > Error Code: 0x80131500

Fixes ive tried
Dism restore health +  Filechecker (no issues)
wsreset.exe- didnt work..(completed successfully but didn't help)
deleted the contents of the download directory and the datastore directory in
c:\windows\softwaredistribution -didnt work
Ran Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter - Suggested turning on UAC (makes no difference)..
Created a new user account,..issue still persists
Deleted SSD for user account in registry
Reset DNS

Any thoughts gratefully received,..

You may need to perform a repair install but open a Command Prompt (Admin) or Powershell (Admin) and copy & paste this cmd to the prompt to reinstall the Store -

Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register ?$($_.InstallLocation)\\AppXManifest.xml?}

I assume you have performed an antimalware scan ?

To perform a repair install you will need Win 10 install media which you can create after reading - https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

You will need an USB of at least 8GB.

When you have created it, open File Explorer then double click on its drive which will open to its files where you would then double click on setup Application.

This won't affect your personal files but will remove all 3rd party programs which you will need to reinstall.

Hi Boggin..

Actually i already tried the command you posted,..it returns the "not a recognized command error",..odd on a system that never really errors, and where dism restore health, and filechecker always comlete with no issues,..although i realize that's not definitive,..

This issue might have to wait for next reinstall,..im not going to repair install yet, mostly because ive run out of storage media and im going to wait till i purchase some more,to do it,..(i have a suspicion, that since this issue persists in a new user account, repair install might not fix it anyway,..

A virus is unlikely,.i have some Cyber security training and im used to monitoring my systems,..nothings showed with Eset online, malwarebytes,SASW,or anything else, during normal scanning..

Since its a small issue, and can live quite happily without ms store apps,i guess ill wait a bit,..see if an update fixes it,and try the repair install when i get more storage,..thanks for your assist though.:-)..

Yes, I got the same error when I pasted that cmd.

This article has some steps which may help repair/reinstall the MS Store.

https://thegeekpage.com/reinstall-microsoft-store-app/

It has a variation of that cmd which also produced the same error, but resetting the Store as it suggests may fix.
