Got this during checking files:
Missing File: CleanMgrScripts\Google Chrome Cache 1 (For Each User Profile).dat
Missing File: CleanMgrScripts\Google Chrome Cache 2 (For Each User Profile).dat
Missing File: CleanMgrScripts\Google Chrome Cache 3 (For Each User Profile).dat
I neither use nor want Chrome on my system. Period. Couldn't find an uninstall. I've taken steps to remove anything with Chrome through search. Presently, is shows only in Bitdefender, though system recreated an ibd folder and metadata file.
This happened in safe mode also. Please advise so I can run the app. Thanks.
Boggin:
Can you try reinstalling Windows Repair in Safe Mode with Networking to eliminate Bitdefender from corrupting the install.
These are the responses to an earlier thread -

I know there were 3 responses, but only see the 1 below from Boggin. The only "repair" showing after F8 is Startup Repair. I do not have a Win7 disk. Drive E: on hdd is the Windows sys. Did a restore but Tweaking gave same errors. I hate it when I screw up. What would you suggest? Sorry gentlemen.
Boggin:
Can you run Command Prompt as an administrator and enter sfc scannow to see if it resolves the start up settings.
To run a cmd prompt as an admin in Win 7, go Start - type cmd then right click on it and select Run as administrator and follow the prompts.
Check F8 again when it has completed - the sfc /scannow may report that it has found and repaired all corruption.
If necessary, I can send you a couple of Win 7 install disks - just need to know the version you are using and for you to PM me your address.

Shane, Boggin, Julian - I know I must be dense, but I can't even figure out how to get around on the forum. No login screen or box comes up first time. How to I find my topic without going down the long list? The layout is beyond me (not all replies show). How am I suppose to ask questions like this without starting a new topic? I'll understand if you just give up on me, but I do like to app. Okay, have at me.
