[Fixed] Shared Icon On Files After Running Reset File Permissions Repair

From reading this is it s bug for sure. (In fact one of the machines that had it was vista after all)

I wonder if somehow removing the icon database made windows get confused on what icons are suppose to appear?

This is what my repair does, but try it manually and see if it helps :wink:

S system I reinstalled had this same problem. But the customer needed it back so I couldn't spend time on it.

Here is what I found. When i tried to delete a folder with the shared icon windows would say it was shared. So you go to sharing and it says it isn't shared. In order to remove the shared icon on the folder I had to share it then remove the share.

So it seems like it something in the middle. The folders are not actually shared but Windows think they are. So this tells me we need to find out what else windows looks at to think a folder is shared. It obviously looks at more than just the registry :wink:
