Could i set up the raid for just two of the drives ( mainly my music collection, its extensive and photos)?

Yeah.
Also looks like OCZ has the worse return rates for their SSD drives.

Yeah from what I can tell it was the controller (sandbridge) chip in it and ocz changed it to the indilinx infused chip for the vertex 4. They bought inidlinx to control quality. I believe this was correct. The vertex 4 is suppose to be one of the top dogs for speed and reliabilty, but I will let you know LOL!
