Unable to open Registry Backup

I installed Registry Backup and it appears to work properly.  However, I am unable to open the program either with the desktop icon or *.exe file in order to modify settings.  Would appreciate any suggestions to rectify this problem.

UPDATE:  The program finally opened after a long delay of 20-30 minutes.  Then about 10 minutes later an error message appeared:

"The program did'nt shut down properly.  This may be due to a problem with the Volume Shadow Copy Service. ..."

Have switched to Fallback method and we'll see if that works.
