External disk failure ?!

I have a strange problem is the first of its kind so far, so I do not know what happens to external disks that since yesterday does not work!
I tried several methods, but did not succeed and run check disk also this did not work and remove the last installed programs but did not work either, so I can not figure out what's going on there???!

I have important files on the external disk and I do not want to lose any of those files, so help me out quickly!  :cry:

No, what should I do now?

Hook it up to a different machine and see how it works. This will at least tell us if there is a problem with your drive or with the system :wink:

I tried what you suggested, but does not work on another computer wondering what happened to the hard drive!! :cry:
