program closed early message

(1/2) > >>

peterr:
I have two attachments which look normal to me however I received an error message that the program closed early and was not able to..... I could not catch the end of the message.
Is the back up valid?

Shane:
The backups did finish.

I found that if you have the program set to show its self at startup when it is backing up that the crashes don't seem to happen. This means it is a control (Textbox, button, etc.) in the program that needs to be drawn first for some reason.

I will be digging into it soon to see if I can trace the problem.

I am reporting any anomalies not as a criticism but so you have feedback to work on.
My desktop seems to be creating proper backups but I see the program flash on my screen some times when I am doing email -it only happened once.
The laptop seems not to want to start the program. I created, then deleted, then created the schedule and set it to Win 8 .
Should I be doing anything else?
I go right to desktop where it used to work with the previous version.
Hope you find the glitches and wish I could help.
Peter

I dont take it as criticism at all :-) Feedback is needed ot make my programs better.

On my Windows 8 system I have UAC turned off and have applied a reg key to turn it off fully. Perhaps I should setup a test rig with Windows 8 and UAC on and see if that might be the problem.

I sent you another note. I am dealing with more than one variable which is not what I should do.
I have to take over the laptop in the am and see if tweak is running in desktop.
I then have to see if backups are being recorded.
As I said I'll be in touch.
