Windows 7 Recovery

(1/1)

lurtz:
Hey y'all! so, I have been looking around and can't find a solution to my issue. I got a new hard drive for my laptop and used Toshiba Recovery to get Windows back on (I backed up all my important files and decided I'd just start anew). When the install finished, the screen resolution is horrible, everything is zoomed in and I can't find the setting to zoom out. The devices window has a yellow ! on the chipset drivers, but I've tried downloading (after using the drivers disc that I had) them more than once and it doesn't fix it even after rebooting. any ideas? Thanks!

Shane:
Can you post a screen shot of the device manager for me so I can see?

It is possible you just dont have the correct drivers installed.

What is the exact model of your laptop, I will find the product page for it where it will have the correct drivers to download instead of the cd

well, I woke up yesterday morning and the resolution was working fine! BUT the wifi keeps going off after like 2 hours or if I try to download something larger than 100mb. any idea what could be causing this? (by the way it's a Toshiba Satellite 655-S5068) Thanks!

Shane:
If the wireless is cutting it out could be one of three things.

1. Drivers for the wireless card
2. Wireless card going bad
3. Router just needs rebooted
