Post by: Recover1311 on January 05, 2013, 05:31:34 pm
If you came here hoping to fix the Windows Firewall issue, you are in the right place. After several hours of searching and trying fix a non-working windows firewall, I landed here. After running the Windows Repair all in one, I now have a working windows firewall!

Great job guys!

I recently had a computer (windows 7) infected with a rootkit that has blocked updates, permissions, firewall, internet... With Windows Repair running from a USB stick I was able to restore everything very quickly. It's a good tool. Has an IT tech I recommend it.

Shane is the penultimate go-to expert in windows (small w is purposeful), at least as far as I'm concerned.  I direct all of my friends to Tweaking.com for answers; as well  as Majorgeeks.com, with whom he is well regarded and referenced on a regular basis.  Thank you, Shane~!

Oh my goodness, this site is precious!  My laptop was infected with a trojan which blocked my Windows Firewall and I have tried every fix-it I could find on the internet and nothing worked, until I finally ran across this site.  I know how to use a computer but nothing about programing or technical issues and this site fixed my problem.  I am so happy right now that my firewall has been restored that I could scream.   THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I am also a worker in Information Technology as a Desktop Support Specialist and try various new things from the Internet.  Ever since loading and running Windows 8 as my primary operating system I have had on and off problems with slow bootups and the inability to go into safe mode (even though I have added a safe mode boot entry).  After running Windows Repair AIO I no longer experience these problems.  Thank you very much Shane and donation made to Tweaking.com.

Came to Tweaking.com from a post by Ztrucker at WhattheTech.
