Missing "Run as administrator" option in context menu in start menu searches
How to fix it?
-
This article should help - https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/200558-run-administrator-add-remove-context-menu-windows-7-a.html
I've removed your duplicate thread.
-
I know this topic.
This registry entry does not solve the problem, of course.
-
It would seem that your machine is unique - what have you done to it to lose the Run as admin from the context menu ?
-
I started the repair process in the WR v4 application, and from this moment I do not have this option.
It's kind of a repair, but it's something to mess up in the system.
I have restored the system registry, but with no result, this option is still missing.
-
While I can't speak for the latest version of WR, I have run an older version on my Win 7 and I still have the Run as admin option.
Are you saying that running 4.0.11 on your computer took out that option ?
-
I use every newest version (if a new update appears)
For example, I have restored the settings:
Repairs: 1,2,3,4,5,9,10,12,16,20,21,22,23,24,25,26
-
You haven't answered my question - if WR took out your Run as admin then I'll need to pass it on.
-
WR 4.11
"Pinned" applications in Start, still have "Run as Administrator",
but the search applications do not have in Menu.
-
Is it present when you right click on any of your desktop icons ?
-
He is present everywhere, except in the Start Menu (Search)
-
So if you went Start - typed cmd and right clicked on cmd you don't get the option to run as an admin ?
-
Regarding, CMD.exe is what I have.
But when it comes to other programs, it's not (although it was possible before)
-
How do restore it now? I do not have an old restore point (replaced) is always new.
How to undo ALL changes in WR?

You would use the Registry Restore option.
Boot into Safe Mode with Networking, open the program and click on Backup Tools then click on Restore under Registry Backup then click on the Restore Registry tab and use the dropdown to select the back up then click on Restore Now
-
I do not have any restore points :cheesy:
-
They aren't restore points as in System protection - it's the auto registry back up the program does when you open the repairs.
Follow the steps I've described
-
I have 100 different registry restore points. But this does not solve the problem, damage the system even more, some programs stop running, or damage system files due to missing entries. You have to remember that each time the register changes, if you restore something, then the other will not work.
This is one of the worst solutions.
You need to restore the default settings only, and only corresponding as "Run as administrator".
Do you know this command? Or how to check it?
-
need to restore only entries in the registry run as an administrator for program shortcuts in the Start Menu.
WR damaged it, I do not know why, I am looking for a ready script or a repair command.
-
You asked for how to revert the changes made by WR - I've explained that.
Which Start menu programs have lost the Run as admin ?
