Malwarebytes - how to exclude some extensions from scanning?

I've had a look through the Settings in my free version of MBAM and I don't think that is an option.

It's rare that I run a scan with MBAM as it usually takes about 40 mins to complete and the odd time I've have run it, I've went away and got on with something else - so have never seen what it scans, but if you are going to exclude some items then that could leave your machine vulnerable.

Malwarebytes not very functional tool and small signature malware database!
But only a test and see that the tool for amateurs.

MBAM does do a robust antimalware scan and has had some positive results for some - it can also do a rootkit scan.

While I don't know the size of its database or where you have gotten that info from, it uses heuristics like any other scanner.

I prefer to rely on my Norton Security but if I want a more robust scan, I will use ESET Free Online Scanner - but this is getting away from your original request.

I test a lot of different little popular applications. My computer is free from malware, but some "rare" applications(Created by self-taught) man may contain malicious code, but most often it is FALSE.

Code: [Select]
AV-Test certified: The best antivirus software for Windows Home User
I have always used Emsisoft - given the high detection rate and low false (information or no risk, medium risk or high)

I use Freeware : Emergency Kit Scanner 11

Emsisoft Antimalware 11
Emsisoft Internet Security 11

Emsisoft better tool compared to Malwarebytes:

well i'm glad you have a antivirus/malware scanner that you prefer. in my honest opinion I use System center endpoint protection (SCEP). but than again an antivirus is all preference.
