Windows Repair, excellent attempt.  Thanks so much for your efforts.  Two bits of feedback.  In my case, zip files were no longer associated with explorer and this association was not repaired by your tool.  Could you consider adding this?  Thanks. 
Second, I realize the difficulty of deciding how to handle this but in my case I was using the Norton firewall and so turning on the windows firewall may have been contraindicated.  Just a comment.

I dont add any file associations that can be taken by other programs, in this case zip files. I myself use the free 7-zip and in it you can have it take association of the zip files :-)

As for the firewall, the repair windows firewall will start the windows firewall backup, as that is part of the repair. If you have norton you could just skip that repair, or just turn off the windows firewall after :wink:
