The start menu is not being sorted. It there some things I can check to to get start menu to sort all my installed programs?
-
Go to start menu list of the programs, right click anywhere on the list and you have an option to sort :-)

That did it but will I have to do it again when I install a new program?

Windows doesn't offer a way it looks like. I know in Windows vista, 7 and so on they stay sorted. You didn't tell me what version of Windows, but since the newer Windows stays sorted I assume you are on XP, so you have to do a little trick to make it stay sorted

I am on windows 7 64 bit.

If you are on Windows 7 then what style do you have the start menu set to, because on all my 7 machines the start menu stays sorted.

Ah you have the sort setting unchecked :-)

That was the first thing I check and checked it. Then did what you said and it worked. Now just installed to programs and it seem to be working fine now.
