Title: embedded images in outlook -temp folder blocked
Post by: [email protected] on June 15, 2013, 05:18:01 am
I was in the process of cloning my old drive to larger drive. 1tb seagate momentus xt.  Everything appeared to work. Then I discovered two issues;

A) Outlook would not allow me to open embedded images.  I set the email up where I choose to open manually the images for security purposes. The temp folder says 8mg but it will not allow any changes and when opened the folder is empty.
B) 2008 SQL R8 does not function properly.

OS: Win 7 pro
Outlook 2007 (pro office)
IE: 10

Attempted fixes:
Empty temp folder
Resized temp folder (would not accept changes)

The only solutions left are to start over and reload all programs and data. If you have any ideas, I would very much appreciate your help.
Thanks

When you clone over to a new drive make sure to run chkdsk on the drive so windows will correct the file system to show the new size an mft table.

You could also just have a permission problem. Try the chkdsk first, after that if it still doesn't work try my repair file permissions repair and see if it helps :-)
