Problem with the new version when the program finishes repairing Windows services then the system becomes semi-frozen and stuck Causing much memory usage & This also caused the inability to restart the system or shut down Until I disconnect from the Internet in my machine.
-
Did you run the reg or file permissions repairs?
I have both of them set to apply this tweak to the system, but you have to reboot. If you didnt run those then in the files folder with the program you will see
fix_insufficient_resources.reg
Run that and reboot and try the repairs again.
What I found was on some systems Windows was running out of resources. This tweak simply tells Windows to use more resources if it needs it instead of running out.

i have run all repairs thing...

Look at that reg file, right click on it and click edit. There you will see the keys it puts. Go in the registry and see if those keys are there, also when was the last time you rebooted?
Shane
-
last time rebooted was yesterday
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management]
"PagedPoolSize"=dword:ffffffff
"PoolUsageMaximum"=dword:00000060
And How do I find this in the registry?
-
Open the registry and go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
And see if those those 2 settings are there

Screenshot to make sure

Looks good. Seems like for some reason the system still ran out of resources by the time it was finished.
Normally it is the 2 permissions repairs that use the most resources, so skipping those 2 is a good idea if it keeps happening
Shane
-
So where's the problem? But if I skip this means that some services are not repaired?
-
I didnt say skip that one, the first 2 repairs.

I got it I'm going to try this but at the same time I think that this is a problem in your program?
-
No, I have ran it on a lot of systems havent had the problem on any of them. The way you described it it sounds exactly like the system running out of resources.

I'm sure that this is a problem with your program since I've upgraded to the latest version since yesterday and I've deleted version 1 and other, older versions v1.9.6 Released & v1.9.7 Released However this is not a problem with this version can run all repair options and running quickly
-
You where suppose to lol

:artist:Hahhha Did I miss something here
-
Still this is a problem, but with older versions there is no problem and today I've upgraded to the latest version and still the problem.
-
Nothing has changed in the program on how it does the work. Only changes have simply been adding more service reg files and changes to some of the repairs.
I have ran the new version on 10 different systems and have no trouble.
For some reason something on your system is causing it to run out of resources. Did you also skip to first 2 repairs like I asked?
Also you can run the repairs in safe mode as well
Shane
-
I know you've added something new to the program but, let's make sure first if the problem is in my machine or not so give me an old version.
However I have a little of the software installed on my system so I do not think that there is something cause to run out of resources ..
And for your question. Yes, I skip the first 2 repair
But still the same problem
-
I dont have any old version. The permissions repairs at the top are the only repairs that use a program outside of Windows repair.
Every other repair is just bat files that are restoring reg keys, registering files and that's about it. And all the work is done in the bat files and ran through Windows, my program itself isnt doing the work, it outputs to the cmd so Windows is running the repairs.
Did you try the repairs in safe mode yet?
Shane
-
Thanks for the information ,and whether should run the program in safe mode?
-
Try it in safe mode and see how it does. If it doesnt have any trouble in safe mode then there is something running in Windows when your running the repairs that might be causing it.
Shane
-
Great, your own program works great in safe mode
-
Good :-)
Then something is running when Windows is up that is sucking resources dry.
Now you know where to look
Shane
-
 ya thx yo shane :artist: May be the cause of that problem is The new version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware? Do you think?
-
Hard to tell. But just like it says on the repair window you should disable and stop any antivirus scanners and such.
You should try it again with it disabled and see if you still have the problem.
Shane

I have found the problem and looks like Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware program cause to run out of resources & Removing the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware program from my system and this solved the problem! :cheesy:
-
thx shane
-
No problem :-)
