Title: [Solved] The Windows Firewall service terminated with service-specific error 87

windows7 防火墙不能在本地计算机启动 特定服务错误代码87
After tons of researches, i finally get my firewall to work, thats so awesome, error code 87 indicate that local firewall policy corrupt, simply delete corrupt policy through registry, the key exactly handle the policy is

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsFirewall, after compare this to a work properly machine, that its registry dont involve this key sets, as long as delete the keys, mpssvc service startup like a charm.

Try running all the default repairs on Windows repair let me know what it does for you.
