I rarely have any luck getting windows fixed when it dies in the middle of an update, mainly because the registry sections, files and all get all screwed up. I mean we are talking 50,000+ registry keys and files each!

So normally a repair install would be a good idea, depending on the update and the problem it caused, now if all other updates install just fine and it is only IE then I do have a way to make windows forget IE and let you install it fresh, if you want to give it a try that is :-)

Shane

Imma go ahead and try repair install though

Having the system go out in the middle of updates can be very bad, as you can see.

Have you tried downloading and running the windows system readiness tool yet? It can sometimes replace and fix the missing files and anything else it finds.

Shane

hi, i also recommend shane  suggestion as it is the only way of getting back all the things in windows  7 and it is easy running tool and almost fixes any problem of pending updates. there is no other tool for this. all the pending is stored in one directory and this tool really works in those situation.

I'll report back if it fixes my issue :D thanks guys

Kinda new at the community, so uh, Hi :D

I am actually having problems with my IE.
I shutdown my system to install all 345 updates, unfortunately due to power outage, my pc shuts down and ends the update. Upon boot up my IE doesn't work and any programs associated with it like all, I keep getting jscrpit9.dll errors and the program assosciated with it starts to not respond

After running the tool I performed a pre-scan and seen bad image errors as well

I cannot perform a repair install since my windows ultimate setup disk was lost
Any ideas how to fix this?

EDIT: I provided both of the log files from SFC and the repair tool itself
