What about other Event IDs ? - with a 1002 you normally get a 1001

Have you checked Action Center to see if that has recorded an error as the Event error advises ?

My Win 7 doesn't know what to open that file with, but you could have copied it the same way as you did for the 1002 error and I can use Google Translate to read it.

The 1001 error sounds like it could be Windows Firewall blocking it as Windows Firewall is active in normal and Safe Mode.

This article will show you how to make an exception for v.3.7.0 - now v.3.7.1

AVG was blocking the program. Have to shut down AVG. Then the program works.
The file I sent you can be open with word pad.
Thanks fore support. Closing the topic.

It's strange that AVG was blocking it in Safe Mode as that is the only safe way to isolate a 3rd party security program so as to trouble shoot if an AV program is the cause of blocking, as it can do for Internet connectivity.

Perhaps some aspect of it was still loading in Safe Mode.

I'll add [SOLVED] to your thread title as you can do by clicking on Modify in your opening post and adding that to the title.

Norton 360 has now been superseded with Norton Security with or without the Cloud, although if you want to pay Symantec's full price you can still renew through the program.

I used to get it blocking the odd otherwise safe download but found that was normally because of the Norton Identity Protection add-on which I now keep disabled, although that didn't work all of the time.
