Title: Shane ? all time fix~it update plan
Post by: Rick on July 04, 2015, 10:35:50 am
Why not allow people to connect to a server that allows them to do a SFC/scan, When they start or login to a web page, that webpage identifies the system mus like adobe does. if any issues found? let me fix them automatically or manually, fixit don't always work as the MSFt servers are in constant update or over lode mode...

Including reset update and update store, resetting the update store is critical if any updates are in hang mode right?

Sounds like an interesting idea....Hmmmm I see big server load issues with that though. But then again I don't know what kind of server shane has running. I do know it's a shared server so that may be a lot for the server who knows.  :artist:

Could you not set sfc /scannow to run say once a week on start up in Task Scheduler ?

the main issue is; sfc can and does become corrupted in 2018, novice users won't know!
think of it as a way to fight new wars?

The problem is the huge number of files, versions, and mix and match of the windows files and registry settings. It is such a huge pain that even MS themselves are constantly putting out updates that break things because of all this mix and match of files.

So now imagine trying to have something online to help users with this and you have to keep track of the files and such when MS cant even do it very well, it would be WAY harder for me to know the files vs MS. That and because of laws I cant host MS files without them allowing me :-)

No, not at all; Intel is able to maintain theirs with the auto update feature..
therefore, MSFT can do the same as Intel except detec and SFC /autoscan my system

Hence, we need ask MSFT, dear MSFT, please fix your software...

in fact, this guy has it perfected except, it dont cover SFC...

Hi, Shane, Moreover, Intel updates utility does not work that much correctly. Sometimes, its site curls back and forth, but show the blank page of installed drivers. Normally, that page would contain the already present drivers , and if an update drivers version for clicking auto installation. It gives blank on both items. Intel drivers are best downloaded manually from their site. For example, i find so much threads on failing of ms updates including packages and cat mum files of late

Example;

world governments still use XP systems to run their countries, even ours...
why we forced to update annually to new broken systems before they get started?

there is no security their anyway and lost time...
