Hi Shane
I downloaded the latest Version 1.9.13 AIO Repair.
On the Vista machine the SFC will not work (use to), it asked to press any key to continue as sdoon as the Command box appears, i press any key and the Box disappears.
With the 1.9.13 AIO on the XP machine it goes staight through using all ther repairs, including the RESET FILE PERMISSIONS, just to remind you it was thought it was going around in a loop. Have tried it twice now to make sure and it went staright through, actually quicker 80 minutes instead of 200 minutes.
Maybe with the extra room on the C Drive has made a difference?
Thanks in advance

I guess there was a file that caused Windows Repair to be thrown into a loop. Seems that particular file was deleted and the loop with it.
WR v1.9.13 registers a number of extra files. Perhaps re-registrering those files caused the loop to disappear.

So is it working better for you now?

Shane
Thank you
Yes it is, the XP Machine is going through taking approx. 75 minutes instead of 130 minutes, have run it three times to make sure. Sorry i meant that the RESET REGISTRY PERMISSIONS went through ok. Better not talk to soon. I will keep you posted.
The Vista machine will not run the SFC, it pauses asking to press any key to continue, but when pushed the CMD box disappears and no action.
Thanks again

Open a cmd.exe window and in it put
sfc /scannow
Then you can see what SFC is saying and the Windows wont close.

Running newly installed win 7 64, no know attack or malware ever found.
After some time SFC find corrupted file protection, that can not be repaired except by reinstalling.
My computer seems to run with out any problems.

Hi Shane
I tried above and it said it needed a administrator to continue and moved to the next line.
Thank you

Go to the cmd in the start menu, right click on it and choose run as administrator.
