I have a windows 7 ultimate laptop and I have tried all kind of tools from MS and none has worked and was pointed to your site to use the repair tool and I did and run all the programs in it except the snipping tool and one other tool which I didn't fell like needed to run I also did a cmd scan with sc/sfcnow and all is fixed except 3 CSI Payload files Missing listed below.

Hi, Please see this link. It will probably solve your issue. But you have to copy the files to the winsxs directory, the missing files from another computer having the same os, and same configurations.

But before copying, pl veryfy, if there is f alone and fix is not in the lines in your csi errors. You need to copy the files, which do not have fixes only. For others, you need not copy. Shane, am i correct
i enclose a screen shot of where your winsxs directory exist

I Was thinking that if I could find someone with a windows 7 ultimate repair disc that I could get that to work. I am a little scared to copy and paste into c files unless I got step by step instructions. To give you a little background as to what happened was when I took AVG off my Laptop and installed Microsoft Security Essentials my updates started failing and the problem stated was that I needed to go to AVG website and DL there uninstaller to completely remove AVG and I did and that's when I started getting the 3 missing files.

Hi,   I presume that you would have deleted the csl files while uninstalling the avg. It would have poped up some message, that you want to delete the no use file and you could have ticked yes.

You never want to mess with the winsxs folder. And as time goes on that folder will grow in size.

Is there a place I can get Windows7 Ultimate to burn to cd/dvd? I looked at the link you sent Shane and not sure what I need there but is that site got the OS file I need to completely redo my system? I now get a error code of 8007007e along with now error 9C57. I'm ready to just start over if I can get the OS file I need. I have my Key code to input and also when I pulled up something with all this testing it says my system is ready for 64 bit instead of 32 whatever that means. Also thank you Jraju for all your input.

hi, knobles,

                   The link suggested by shane contains all the OS. It is your choice that counts.If you want to get the iso for windows 7 ultimate, then go to the specified link and download. Iso file is boot supported and you could totally format, your present OS drive, by choosing customized installation to install the required OS. You could copy the files other than system files to other drives. After installing all the required files, be sure to  download, antivirus and other software to check virus and trojan malwares.

iso files are cd images.

So once you download the iso you use a buring software to write the image to a disk.

So just download the iso you need. Make sure you get the 32 bit or 64bit based on the one you have now. Burn the iso and then try a repair install first, this way you keep all your programs and files :wink:
