Your antivirus may be blocking the program from running, did you make sure to disable it, also try running the repairs in safe mode, that is the preferred way so that 3rd party programs dont get in the way.

HELLO SHANE,
THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE. I DID RUN YOUR REPAIR.EXE IN THE SAFE MODE AND IT DID ITS THING, I GUESS OK. I THEN TRIED TO INSTALL THAT NEW SOFTWARE PROGRAM 'CSCAPE' PLC PROGRAM AFTER RETURNING TO NORMAL DESKTOP FROM A RESTART AND I GOT THE SAME ERRORS I WAS GETTING BEFORE THE REPAIR. IE: ERROR 1719, AND ERROR 1722, THESE BOTH SEEM TO APPEAR AFTER THE PROGRAM BEGINS TO INSTALL AND ARRIVES AT WIN 2005 REDISTRIBUTABLE C++. THESE ERRORS APPEAR WHEN ITS TRYING TO PROCEED WITH THIS PART OF THE INSTALL I ASSUME AND NOT JUST COINCIDENCE SINCE I'VE TRIED THIS MORE THAN ONCE WITH THE SAME INSTANCE IN THE INSTALL PROGRESS. ANY FURTHER THOUGHTS?
THANK YOU,
H-D

Download Windows Installer v4.5 and try the download/install again. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942288
If it still fails then directly download 2005 Redistributable and then try the install. http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=18471
If 2005 is already listed in Programs and Features, see if uninstalling that first helps.

That's great news. :cheesy:
Can you add (Solved) to your thread title now so Shane and others will know that you have a result.
Just a note - when posting in CAPITALS - it's viewed as shouting, but I find it's easier to read.

Thanks Boggin for knowing the errors just meant he needed the runtime files installed and pointing him to the right download links :-D

A pleasure
I'm still trying to find a download link that I trust for Windows Installer 5.0 which is for Win 7.
