Hi,
Would anybody knows the storage size of the Pendrive that could be saved , read, viewed in computer. In other words, can large storage pendrive be read or stored in a computer.
Is there any restriction on that ? Please

Hi jraju,
I don't know if there is any physical limit, but there comes a point where an external HDD is better value per GB. The largest pendrive that I use is 64GB, but I have a couple of WD 500GB external HDDs that I use mostly for backups.

Hi, Samson,

I don't think that there is any file size limit with NTFS or exFAT, but 4GB is the maximum file size with FAT32.

Hi,
Can i change the format to ntfs to store more data than 4 gb in pendrive which normally have fat32 file type
-
You can indeed. I formatted my 64GB pendrive to exFAT (it was FAT32) so that I could put files over 4GB on it. I used exFAT as it is supposed to be a bit quicker than NTFS. But either NTFS or exFAT will allow files over 4GB.

Hi,
Thank you. One more question not connected with this .
i have asked the storage issue because, i want to save all the gmails to my pendrive. I have saved the google mails thro their help tools and i was sent a file "take away this date" and when i tried to save to my computer, the firefox shown unknown time. It is in zip format. Would it be able to open the attachements in those mails saved. I do not want my precious mails to be lost. any idea, Samson
