Hiya , my sound went missing after windows updates thanks to avg thinking it was a virus. Emptied out vault still not working, got sent to you clever folk and downloaded your repair programme. Finally went through it all and managed to get into safe mode (I'm a computer dunce so was a miracle).
Anyways this is now where I'm stuck for past hour plus . It restarted and voila blue screen saying getting windows ready don't turn off... No countdown or percentage shown to give me a nugget of hope it will be soon, so really querying if this is normal practise or am I sitting like a idiot and should be looking for a hammer ;)

So after posting it restarted then went to a black screen now on a purple screen saying please wait... Maybe it heard about the hammer...
Managed to get back and have sound again x thank you for reading my pointless message :wink:
