Good Morning.
My comp history, started going to a screen saying put boot disk in , no boot address
I got it to work for a while, going to restore points, then last known successful, but it finally just would not boot at all. Not go to safe, not even see a last successful attempt.
someone told me about the windows repair. he thinks I can go to bios and boot off the program on a stick drive? I read the specs on the repair program and it says do it from safe with networking.
Any one know if I should waste time trying the stick with the program on it, as a boot source?

No, because the program has to be run inside Windows.

It's possible your HDD could have died, but if you boot up into the BIOS and it is still listed then files may be recoverable.
I don't know what you are using to post with, but if you have access to a computer with a disk drive then you can create a Paragon Rescue disk which has a file transfer wizard, but should it be the Boot sector screwed, then it can also repair that.
While it is free, it emails you a product key to activate it, but have a read through the user manual and if it boots ups, then select Safe Mode.

Thanks Boggin, I will try that to save files, but will get a new computer tower anyway.
I am on an old Athlon AMD with XP on it, no telling how long this will keep working. A neighbor gave it to me as a temp.
