Title: Tweaking Windows - Repair
Post by: therlou on September 04, 2012, 08:40:16 pm
During the execution of the software, it requires the use of the XP SP3 disk.  Even though my XP Professional OS already is fully up to date with SP3, I nonetheless downloaded the non-multi-computer version of XP SP3, but the software would not recognize it at all.  Further, after the software requested the use of the XP SP3 disk, it then threw me into a closed loop from which I could only recover by resetting the computer.  So, two questions arise: 1) Why does the software not recognize the single computer version of XP SP3 that I downloaded and put on a CD, and 2) After requesting the use of the XP SP3 disk, why does the software then immediately throw me into a closed loop from which nothing but a reset will allow for an escape.  The use of Task Master simply does not work at all.

My program doesnt require it. The step you are doing is called the system file checker. That is part of Windows and it is Windows asking for the cd.

If you are unable to do the SFC then just skip it

The part of the program isnt until you start the repairs :cheesy:
