Boggin;; you mention before have a try with rescue disk; we should solve these issues too...
I downloaded the latest version, got these error codes with flashing keyboard lights.
Mount: special device /dev/sr* does not exist
Dracut warning: can’t mount root filesystem
Dracut warning: Dracut FATAL: Failed to mount block device of live image
Kernel Panic – not syncing: attempted to kill init! Exitcode=0x00000100
PID: 1 comm: init not tainted 3.4.24-krd10 #1
Call trace: [<c090b902>] panic+0x7d/0x171

My Biossysteminfo;
Bios date 4/21/2015
M/Board Gigabyte - UEFI DualBios, Model Z97-D3H
Memory 8192
Bios set to IDE Mode, will try AHCI Mode
Please note and report to Kasperky : Working in AHCI Mode
After several attempts to run, have come to the conclusion it is not useful tool any longer as it has many bugs including closing during the run process
-
AHCI is the normal working mode.

Setting up the network connection is a little problem, why they don't have it setup to automatic?
-
It's been a while since I used it but I don't recall any problems.
-
Unable to setup the Network connection; it has a big flaw now not doing so automatically
tried this with no success

Well, I have no intention of running my Kaspersky disk to see what could be going wrong for you, as it took 9 hours to scan my system.
Have you tried it when Ethernet connected ?
-
y, they need fix it so it can detect and setup the network to open the updates

it would be interesting to know, can you update the database; that will only take 5 minutes

I don't really have the time as I have a couple of problems of my own to sort out.
If you want to give your system an offline scan then create a Windows Defender Offline disk and give it a scan with that, but if I want to give my system a thorough scan then I will usually give it a scan with the ESET Free Online Scanner.
