Hi,
I have a Dell Inspiron 580 running Windows 10. It's an older computer but it fits my needs. I find that it lags at times though, especially coming out of sleep mode. I run CCleaner periodically but I was hoping someone could help me identify what could be bogging down my resources at times.
Please let me know what I need to provide and I will do so.
Thanks,
Scott

See if disconnecting it from the Internet before putting it into Sleep mode improves its wake up.
I'm not sure why computers do this but they have been known to hang onto the DHCP address which can delay the start up from sleep and hibernation.
You could try resetting the Network adapters to see if that resolves.
Win 10 has a Network reset facility but you can manually reset them with the following cmds from either a command prompt admin or powershell admin.
netcfg -d
shutdown /r /t 00
and then see how it performs after the reboot.

Thank you for you response. I'm not sure i'm understanding your suggestion accurately. Are you saying I should disconnect from the internet each time I walk away from my computer long enough that it goes into sleep mode? That sounds like a real inconvenience.

It was just for elimination purposes to see if reconnecting to the Internet is the cause of the lag.
