I can download a app from the store but when I to install I keep getting the Code-0x80070002- What can I do to repair this problem. Thanks :sarcastic:

Use my Windows Repair tool, when you get to the repairs screen unselect all the repairs and just check "Repair Windows 8 App Store" towards the bottom. It is the only repair you need to run. Run it it and then reboot and let me know if that fixes you up

That didn't work at all- still getting the same thing. :sarcastic:

OK do the repair tool again but this time do the first 2 repairs for the permissions for the registry and files.
So 3 repairs selected, do those and reboot.
Oh and also double check your date and time on the system and make sure it is correct.
Let me know :-)

I don't know if Shane's WR program executes these commands but you could try manually entering them to see if it fixes the problem.

Also came across where someone was able to install the apps when connected WiFi to the router but not when using wired - no explanation for that other than perhaps a buggy LAN adapter ?
Have you checked Event Viewer for a date and time stamp which relates to the error/failure ?
-
I tryed that to no good> thanks

Did you check Event Viewer ?

Yes that is what the repair app store one does. And also resets the default permissions in the hkey_current_user
I just released v2.8.3, you could give it a try, but this time run all the repairs. Make sure to have it do a registry backup first.

From what I was reading the error code normally happens when the profile is messed up for some reason. So to test that I want you to create a new local account on the system, just for a test. So name the account test if you like. Then log in with that account and see if the app store works.
For some people with this error who where signed in with a MS account they had to switch back to a local account and then the app store started working again.
