Last week my 8 year old XP computer slowed to a painful crawl. At first I thought it may be a virus, or, since cpu usage was close to or nearly 100% I thought someone was using it as a bot to spew out spam. After running a multitude of the latest free anti malware, anti-virus and you name it programs, it kept coming up clean. Next I defragmented the hard drive which helped some. Then, yesterday I stumbled upon Tweaking.com and ran your program. It helped considerably, however I am still experiencing a lot of cpu usage and it does slow it down at times. Also seems kind of slow to boot up. I have a newer computer, but keep the old one around and turn it on now and then and try to update it just in case. It has almost become a hobby, but unfortunately, I am a little short on knowledge and the skills required even thought I have had computers since 1984. I will spend some time on your site looking around and keep trying to keep the old thing running. Thanks again! :smiley:
