That means that ADO is corrupt on your system and isnt working.

Download my windows repair tool, when you get to the repairs uncheck all the repairs and only put a check on Repair MDAC/MS Jet (ADO is part of MDAC) then after it runs do a reboot and let me know if you still have the error :-)

On my other site, on this page
http://www.pcwintech.com/shanes-toolbox

Grab the Test MDAC, which is towards the bottom of the page. Run the test and post the results for me :-)

OK so now lets check to see if any of the ADO files are missing. What version of windows are you on?

Ok, go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\ado

And get me a screen shot of all the files you have there, please :-)

Any chance you can turn off the preview column on the right and get a screen shot showing the date modified and sizes for me? That way I can compare the files with the ones on my Windows 7

OK, files look good. So that means that something is messed up or missing in the registry for ADO.

I grabbed the ADO registry from my Windows 7 system. Apply this reg file and then reboot and lets see if that does the trick, if it doesnt then I need to look for more keys :-)

Good to hear it fixed it. When registering the dll files those dll files should have put those registry keys back themselves yet they didnt. perhaps I will update the repair mdac with the reg keys as well :-)
