Post by: hangdawg on April 02, 2012, 07:23:52 pm
hi shane ive got  a motherboard  with 4 fan headers  2   of the pre-installed fans  have a 3 speed switch  but the motherboards  can control the speed   so should i plug them into the motherboard an set them to the highest speed  or should i just hook them  straight into the  psu   thanks

You shouldn't need them on the highest (Will be loud). I have mine on the lowest (Nice and quiet), such as my hard drive fans.

As long as air is moving across them it is moving the heat away and then the rear case fan blows it out :-)

Just use the speed control that came with the fan, put it on low, and you should be fine
