Did you try to boot in safe mode? AIO does not do any harm to the computer. Rather it solves the problem in the windows registry and main items. Could you elaborate, why you ran the AIO. A little explanation will enable the forum members to give you the specific solution

Hi, I am asking the thread owner not to start aio in safe mode. I mean the computer. He says that it is BSOD

What version of Windows? Are you able to get into safe mode? What repairs did you run?

95% of the repairs have to do with the registry, so if something when wrong for a unknown reason you can restore the registry backup the program made

Hi thanks for replies

OS windows XP

Ran the updated version and ticked the restart box in the repair window
After the repair finshed it automatically restarted, thats when it hung for 20 minutes (screen is Windows XP blue screen) without starting to desktop status.
I ended up doing a force restart and it started ok.

Thanks again

Ah so it was at the blue desktop screen you see when windows is logging into the desktop. I have seen that happen only a few times and a reboot gets it going fine again. Since it works after another reboot I never found what causes it and why it is very random and rare that I see it. I think it just happens to do with the userinit.exe which is used to start the startup items and then explorer.exe afterwards.

Thanks Shane, blue screen correct.

Funny enough it didn't do it with the last update but did it with the two versions before.

Thank you

Anything in the event viewer at with a date and time at the same time that was happening? maybe that would give us a clue to why it is doing it.

Go to Device manager. Right click computer to select manage. And then in the left menus, select event viewer. There you get all the logs of events that has taken, when anything fails. Just check the red or exclamated and double click. The event description would reveal what went wrong and on which time. ok
